Kay (Cherry) McKinney

Kay (Cherry) McKinney, 64, passed away Oct. 22 in Shelbyville, Ind. Services were held on Oct. 26 at Bell Mortuary and Crematory in Indiana. Pastor Jonathan Ember officiated the service. Additional services were held on Oct. 28 at Hall Funeral Home in Celina.

She was born on Nov. 19, 1956 in Indianapolis, Ind. She retired from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard R. and Georgina Irene (Black) Cherry and brother, Daniel Cherry.

Surviving relatives include: husband, Robert “Bob” A. McKinney; daughters, Jordan (Michael) McKinney and Mendy McKinney; sister, Toni Cherry; brothers, Randy (Deb) Cherry, David and Michael Cherry and six grandchildren.

Hall Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.

Elise Thompson

Elise Thompson, 88, passed away on Oct. 22, 2021. Graveside services were held on Oct. 26.

She was born and raised in Celina and was a lifelong member of the Churches of Christ. She was a homemaker for most of her life, but also volunteered at the Nashville Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fowler Thompson; parents, Biddle and Hazel Gray; brothers, James Bethel Gray, Billy Fay Gray, Bobby Clay Gray and sister Barbara Thompson Williams.

Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Rose Marie Ankenbauer and son-in-law Allen Ankenbauer; one granddaughter, Ktherine Elise Ankenbauer; brother, Roger (Jan) Gray; sisters,Wanda Sue (Slim) Thompson and Betty Jean (Billy) Webb, two sisters-in-law, Evon Gray and Pat Gray White, as well as a host of several nieces and nephews.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lula Eads

Lula Eads, 91, passed away on Oct. 21, 2021 at Quality Center for Rehab. Services were held on Oct. 24 in the chapel of Upton- Hay Funeral Home, with Kenny Westmoreland officiating.

She is survived by her children, Timothy Eads, Tabitha (Brock) Daly, Terry (Vickie) Eads; two grandchildren, Monica Lynn Eads and T.K. (Sierra) Eads; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn her passing.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
