Georgia E. Dickerson

Georgia E. Dickerson, 94, passed away on Oct. 14 at her residence. Services were held on Oct. 16 in the chapel of Hall Funeral Home.

She was born on Sept. 17, 1927 in Celina. She was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ, loved her family, friends and church family very much.

Surviving relatives include: four sisters, Kat Craighead, Margarett Heston, Sherlin Endicott, Linda Brewer and husband, John; one sister-in-law, Tenna Spear; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

David Craighead, Lee Craighead, Sonny Spear, Larry Endicott and Brad Craighead served as pallbearers; Bennett Morris and Joey Craighead served as honorary pallbearers.

Hall Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.

Lonnie Ray “Bear” Boles

Lonnie Ray “Bear” Boles, 75, passed away on Oct. 14 at the Alive Hospice in Nashville. Graveside services were held Oct. 17 from the Macedonia Cemetery, with Bor. Craig Ogletree officiating.

He was born on April 2, 1946 in Monroe County, Ky. He owned his own tire service center for years and enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by three sisters, Betty Hall, Shirley Carmack and Vickie Tinsley; one brother, Jackie Boles; a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

Hall Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.

Coell Eugene Hickman

Coell Eugene Hickman, 62, passed away Oct. 14 at the Macon Community Hospital. Services were held on Oct. 19 in the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home with Kenny Westmoreland and Jimmy Cook officiating.

He was born June 14, 1959 in Monroe County, Ky. He was the president of the Hermitage Springs Alumni Association. He had a Bachelor’s degree in Ag Business from Tennessee Tech in Cookeville.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Leonard Eugene “Gene” and Linda Sue Anderson Hickman and his father-in-law, Charles Tucker.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Beverly Tucker Hickman; sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Ashley Hickman, Lucas and Kara Hickman, daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Quentin Gass; grandchildren, Lincoln and Oliver Gass, Camden, Elijah, Kaylee, Kloe and Cole Hickman; mother-in-law, Wanda and Jack Cropper; and the entire Hermitage Springs Community.

Anderson & Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Shirley Strong

Shirley Strong, 54, of Moss, passed away Oct. 20 at St. Thomas West. Funeral services were held Oct. 22 in the chapel of the Upton Hay Funeral Home with Barry Blakley officiating. Interment followed in the Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Durell Scott, Timmy Scott, Wendell Scott, Ben Strong, Tyler Watkins and Elvis Scott.

She was born March 31, 1967 in Tompkinsville, Ky. She spent many years working in a factory. She enjoyed her little dog Berkley, but noting compared to spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: mother, Frances Jean (Adams) Scott.

Surviving relatives include: husband, Danny Strong; daughters, Teresa Hadynski and companion, Jonathan Watkins and Sarah Strong; grandchildren, Kadence Hadynski, Jada Banks, Lillian Watkins, Scotty Strong and Ally Watkins; father, Willie Clyde Scott; brothers, Wendell (Rachal) Scott, Durell (Tina) Scott, Timmy (late Paula) Scott and Elvis Scott; mother in law, Edith Strong; brother and sister in law, Boddy (Amy) Strong; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
