The morning classes of the Clay County High School and Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Livingston (TCAT) welding program recently visited industry partner Stephens Manufacturing in Tompkinsville (KY). They received a tour of the facilities and heard presentations by Stephens staff members. Marshall Burch is the instructor for the CCHS-TCAT dual credit classes. The program is in its second year at CCHS and has had 45-50 students each year. 21 students went on the field trip. Stephens is one of the largest manufacturers of concrete plants in the world, shipping plants domestically and in Canada, Mexico, South America, the Caribbean and parts of Africa.
