Mrs. Paula Scott, age 53, of Moss, passed away from this life on Sept. 30 at St. Thomas Midtown.
She was married to her devoted husband, Timmy for thirty-six years. She spent most of her adult life cooking for students and supervising the cafeteria at Clay County High School. She enjoyed camping and horse riding. However, her greatest joy was spending time with family and going on trips with her grandkids. She had a contagious smile, a kind heart and the best personality. To know her was to love her.
She is survived by her husband, Timmy Scott; two sons, Derek Scott and wife, Caitlin and Logan Scott; parents, Paul Graves and Martha Copas; two brothers, Larry Copas and Jason Graves; two sisters, Donna Netherton and Lee Copas; three grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jacob and Zane; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn her passing.
She will be missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Timmy Scott, Derek Scott, Logan Scott, Anthony Smith, Larry Copas, Kevin Netherton, AJ Wilson and Spencer Profitt all served as pallbearers.
Funeral services for Mrs. Paula were held on Oct. 3 in the chapel of Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Jeremy Anderson officiating.
Wilma F. Crowder
Mrs. Wilma F. Crowder, age 76, of Lafayette, passed away on Oct. 1 at her home.
She was a member of the Waltons Chapel Church of Christ. She loved working in her flowers, reading, quilting and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Marlin and Bertha (Crawford) Smith; husband of 55 years, Joe D. Crowder; two sisters, Theresia Anderson and Frances Stafford.
She is survived by one son, Marty (Dorothy) Crowder; one daughter, Theresia (Barry) Reid; six grandchildren, Kyle (Aly) Biles, Elisabeth Crowder, Barrett Reid, William Crowder, Katie Crowder and Haylee Reid; two great grandchildren, Adalee Jo Reid and Gwyndolin Elayne Biles.
Kyle Biles, Barrett Reid, William Crowder, Thomas Mullinix, Matt Franklin and Ian Wilkerson all served as pallbearers.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 5 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Bro. Steve Peeler officiating.
Elvenia Page House
Mrs. Elvenia Page House, age 79, of Celina passed away from this life on Sept. 28 at the Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Her education began at the Free Hill Elementary School in Celina. She later attended and graduated from Darwin High School in Cookeville. She was employed for several years for the RCA Company, as well as working as a nurse for years. She was a member of the Free Hill Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton “Big” and Vera (Maxey) Page; three sisters, Rebecca Page, Alice Faye Page and Gail Francis Page; five brothers, Clifton, Chester, Gary, Tony and Carl Philpott SR.
She is survived by two brothers, Oscar (Janie) Page and Jamie Page; one sister, Phyllis(Charlene) Page; a host of nieces and nephews, special cousins and a very special friend, Johnny House.
Funeral services were held on October 3. Hall Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.
