Ralph Hunter Williams

Ralph Hunter Williams, age 76, of the Pea Ridge community, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Cumberland County Hospital. Services were held , Sunday, August 15 in the chapel of The Upton- Hay Funeral Home with Willie Kerr officiating.

He made a career working at General Motors in Indianapolis as a forklift operator, where he retired and moved back to Tennessee. He enjoyed riding horses, farming, fishing and the company of his dog.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, RT and Daisy Emma (Arms) Williams; two sisters, Ruby Kathleen Williams and Shirley Williams; one brother, King Ferrell Williams.

He was survived by one son, Carl Williams and wife, Patricia; one daughter, Casey Williams; one sister, Martha Young and husband, Randle; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Williams; and two grandchildren; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn his passing.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.

 

Donald Bryant

Donald Bryant, age 80, passed away on August 18, 2021 at his residence. Funeral Services were held at the Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home on August 20, 2021.

He was the evangelist at Lake View Church of Christ.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, George Woods Bryant and Lillie Orene Richardson Bryant; one daughter, Terry Loftis; one brother Shelburne Bryant; one sister, Joann Loyd; and brother-in-law, Junior Loyd.

He was survived by his wife; Anita Bryant; son, Shelby (Donna) Bryant; two brothers, CE ( Eula Faye) Bryant and Jerry ( Rhonda ) Bryant; sister, Glenda ( Jim ) Lafferty; sister-in-law, Jeanette Bryant; grandchildren, Jordan Bryant an Travis Bryant, Jada ( Daniel ) Padgett, Cruz and Michela Loftis; and great grandchildren, Tucker, Beau, Kolt, Kutler, and Knox.

Bro. Jay Loyd, Bro. Les Ditto, Bro. Jordan Bryant, and Bro. Joe Finch officiated the services.

Daniel Padgett, Travis Bryant, Cruz Loftis, Jerry Anderson, Harold Flatt, Ken McMillan and Rodney McMillan served as pallbearers.

 

Martha Jewell Waddell

Martha Jewell Waddell, age 74, of Nashville, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Summit Medical Center. Funeral services were provided by The Upton Hay Funeral Home and held on Saturday, August 14, at the Fitzgerald Cemetery with Rick Denton officiating.

She spent her adult life as an educator. She taught high school math. She enjoyed reading and children, but nothing compared to the pleasure she endured spending time with her family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Frank D. and Beatrice (Napier) Waddell.

She was survived by one sister, Sue and husband Roger; one niece, Melissa and husband Juan; one great nephew, Garrett; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn her passing. She will be missed by all who had the joy of knowing and loving her.

Family and friends served as pallbearers.
