Amon Kendall

Amon Hoover Kendall, 91, of Moss, passed away May 7 at his residence. Funeral services were held May 9 in the chapel of The Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Dennis Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jon Kendall, Nerbert Ray Trobaugh, Josh Smith, Mason Sharp, Carson Sharp and Kolby Boles.

He was born Nov. 30, 1929 in Moss. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool and trading knives and guns. He loved farming and working, but his greatest enjoyment was sawing lumber. He was a member of the Moss Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Benjamin Harrison and Florence (McLerran) Kendall; brothers, Alf, Ed, Abert and Louie Kendall; sisters, Elsie Ogden, Annie McLerran, Nannie Anderson, Elma Key and Lura Plumlee Likens.

Surviving relatives included: spouse, Neldine York Kendall; sons, Billy Kendall, Shawn (Brandi) Kendall and Shannon (Jodi) Kendall; daughters, Kay (Nebert) Trobaugh, Karen Sue Smith and Amanda Machelle Sharp; 25 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of friends and neighbors.


Alvie Dwight Plumlee

Alvie Dwight Plumlee, 65, of Moss, passed away May 7 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. The time and location will be announced once it is planned. The family has chosen cremation.

He was born Oct. 12, 1955 in Tompkinsville, Ky. He was a truck driver for many years.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Hunter and Chloe (Clements) Plumlee; and sister, Linda Davis.

Surviving relatives include: daughter, Alisha Plumlee of Tompkinsville; son, Andrew Plumlee of Livingston; granddaughter, Emma Rae Plumlee; and a host of family and friends.

Hall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Tamra A. Tiernan

Tamra A. Tiernan, 57, of Celina, passed away May 9 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held May 17 at the Hall Funeral Home with Jerrmi Booth officiating. Interment followed in the Cross Cemetery in Byrdstown. Pallbearers were: Charlie Mullins, Maricus Marable, Ty Garrett, Carl Ledbetter, Cale McBride and Clark Donaldson. Honorary pallbearer was Camden Boles.

She was born Jan. 18, 1964 in Livingston. She was a member of the First Baptist of Celina and a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Howard H. and Reba (Moon) Cross.

Surviving relatives include: husband, Timothy Tiernan; daughter, Summer Marable and husband, Maricus; sons, Todd Tiernan, Sloane Tiernan and Sage Tiernan; grandchildren, Kavaun Hogan, Kaycen Marable, Kenyen Marable, Kamarienne Marable, Ty’Shaun Marable, Deva Tiernan, Rami Tiernan, Kalaesia Marable, Kalonna Marable; sister Retta Sells and her husband Roger; and niece, Jessica Mullins and her husband, Charlie.
