The John Henry Oil Company visited East Clay Volunteer Fire Department this past Tuesday to teach a class on oil spills, safety precautions, H2S gas, as well as emergency response. John Henry Oil Company has several oil wells in Clay, Overton and surrounding counties. Several fire departments were in attendance including East Clay, East 52, Monroe, Taylor’s Crossroads, Timothy, Baptist Ridge, Fairgrounds Volunteer Fire Departments and Overton-911. Each department will continue to work with John Henry Oil Company to better improve emergency response to the oil field industry. An estimated 60 firefighters and volunteers were in attendance.
