High Waters Erode Roadways

The Upper Cumberland saw heavy rainfall over the weekend, causing some roadways (such as River Road pictured above) to erode or collapse. At the time of press, River Road and Livingston Highway in the Shanky area were closed. The Clay County Highway Department removed debris and cleared roadways over the weekend. No residential damages or injuries have been reported; however, Clay County Rescue Squad and East 52 Fire Department performed two rescues early Saturday on Add Stafford Road. The rescues were successful with no reported injuries.
