Betty Sue Walker-Smith

Betty Sue Walker-Smith, 74, of Celina, passed away Feb. 8 at Livingston Regional Hospital. The family has chosen cremation with no formal services at the funeral home. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

She was born Aug. 21, 1946. She spent her career working in a factory. She enjoyed camping, boating and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by: father, Callie Strong; and sister, Avadean.

Surviving relatives include: spouse, Rick Smith; daughter, Teressa (Billy) Blythe; brothers, Cordess and Danny; mother, Elma Walker Strong; sisters, Debbie and Tammy; several stepchildren; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and neighbors.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jeffery J. Likens

Jeffery J. Likens, 57, of Whitleyville, passed away Feb. 6 at Tri-Star Skyline in Nashville. Graveside services were held Feb. 8 at the Pricetown Cemetery with Jackie Jenkins officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

He was born Feb. 17, 1963 in Tompkinsville, Ky. He was mostly known for his auto body work and ability to paint a vehicle but he was known as a jack-of-all-trades and a master of most. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Dillon and Faye (Dodson) Hicks.

Surviving relatives include: companion, Renee Murray; son, Jonathon (Rachel) Leonard and James (Krista) Leonard; grandson, Rylan Leonard; brother, Ellis Hicks; sisters, Cheryl (David) Dyer and Monica Asberry; nieces, Tara Asberry and Jessica Dyer; great-nephews, Caden, Gavin and Devin; and a host of friends and neighbors.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jerry Ray Key

Jerry Ray Key, 71, of Celina, passed away Feb. 6 at Tri-Star Southern Hills in Nashville. Graveside services were held Feb. 9 at the Moss Cemetery with Dale Reagan officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

He was born July 7, 1949 in Celina. He spent his adult life working as a farm hand for local farmers. He enjoyed playing softball and ginseng digging.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Elmer Ray and Ora Lee (Moss) Key; and siblings, Russell, Mary, Margie, Gary, Wayne, Linda, Brenda and Tammy.

Surviving relatives include: brothers, David (Latisha) Key, Charlie (Delilah) Key, Terry (Angela) Key and Bobby Key; sister, Barbara (Lannie) Likens, several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and neighbors.
