Willie George Mclerran
Willie George Mclerran, 100, of Celina, passed away Dec. 28 at his home. Funeral services were held Jan. 1 from the New Hope Church of Christ with Bro. Jason Dodson officiating. Pallbearers were Todd Mclerran, Cade Milby, Gavin Milby, Tyler smith, Mason Smith and Dawson McDowell.
He was born Jan. 1, 1920. His work ethic lead him to jobs as carpenter, logger, farmer and basket maker. His baskets have been sold to people in every state in the United States. His 100th birthday was celebrated with more than 300 people in attendance.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Harlan and Nina (Walker) Mclerran; wife, Emma Dee (Strong) Mclerran; daughter, Gayle Underwood; sisters, Florence Watson and Mae Smith; and brothers, Cordell Mclerran and Claude Mclerran.
Surviving relatives include: son, James Mclerran and wife, Janice; daughters, Ruth Riddle and husband, Nile and Nina Smith and husband, Dennis; son in law, Odell Underwood; sister, Lola Morris; grandchildren, Jeffrey Mclerran and wife, Shelia, Duane Smith and wife, Jeannie, Pat Smith and wife, Liz, Monica Smith, Angela Mclerran, Denisa Mclerran, Shonda McDowell and Nena Foster; 11 great grandchildren; and three great, great grandchildren.
Mrs. Anna Russell Marcom Kelly-White
Mrs. Anna Russell Marcom Kelly-White, age 93, of Celina, TN, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Born April 9, 1927, in Clay County, TN, to Beverly Minor and Loreen (Dale) Marcom, Anna was salutatorian at Celina High School and went on to graduate from Nashville Business College before beginning her 45-year career with Life of Georgia Insurance Company.
Anna met her husband, Claude Kelly Sr., in Knoxville, TN, where they married and had two children, Claude Kelly Jr. and Beverly (Kelly) Hollifield. Married for 50 years before Claude Sr.’s passing, the two welcomed 3 grandchildren, Kelly Cathleen and (Craig) Lennie, Trey and (Ashley) Hollifield, Christopher and (Kathryn) Kelly; while living in Macon, GA before returning to Celina, TN in 1996. In 2010, Anna married Roy “Rawhide” White, and the two spent 10 years together before his passing in January of 2020.
Anna was a faithful member of the Church of Christ; she loved all of her church family, as they were her own. She enjoyed studying her bible and doing her church lessons. She had many hobbies, such as crossword puzzles, reading, cooking and trying new recipes, and of course, watching her soap operas.
In addition to her son, Claude, three daughters, Beverly, Barbara, and Brenda; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren, Cash and James Lennie, Collin, Claire, and Caleb Kelly, she is also survived by three nieces, Donna Sue Dorand, Anita McCaleb, and Connie Clemmer; one cousin, Bill Marcom; as well as a host of friends and neighbors that will mourn her passing. Anna will be missed by all who had the joy of knowing and loving her. In this time of mourning, we take solace in knowing she had a first-class ticket to heaven.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, when friends and family can gather safely. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Celina Church of Christ or the Clay County Public Library.

Patsy Mae Krentz
Patsy Mae Krentz, 79, of Mooresville, passed away on December 26, 2020 at her home. Patsy was born on April 19, 1941 in Celina, Tennessee to the late Juanita (Parsons) and Joe Perdue.
Pasty worked for Stationers, Inc for many years. She enjoyed scrap booking, gardening and watching the hummingbirds who would gather in her beautiful flower garden. She enjoyed watching football especially cheering on the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers. She was also a faithful member of the Decatur Township Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gordon Krentz along with many cousins and extended family and close friends.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.

Florence Irene “Flo” Scott
Florence Irene “Flo” Scott, 79, of Celina/Heltonville, IN, passed away Dec. 19. A private graveside service was held Dec. 21 at the Williams Cemetery.
She was born April 3, 1941. She retired from Western Electric, were she had worked for 25 years. She attended Bartlettsville Christian Church. Her passion in life was spending time with her husband, brothers, sisters, family and friends. She had a great love of animals, making sure they were all well cared for and loved.
She was preceded in death by: infant daughter, Connie Sue; several brothers and sisters; and their beloved dog, Jake.
Surviving relatives include: husband, Allen (Pete) Scott; brothers; sisters; family; and friends.
