Winford L. McLearran

Winford L. McLearran, 73, passed away Dec. 17 at Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held Dec. 20 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Gary Cash officiating. Interment followed in the McCloghan Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

He was born April 25, 1947 in Elkhart, Ind. He spent most of his adult life working in the lumber yard and he was an active member of the Spears Chapel Church.

He was preceded in death by: parents, John William and Pearl Elizabeth (Garrett) McLearran; wife, Wanda K. (Bush) McLearran; and sister, Doretha.

Surviving relatives include: son, Lea McLearran Jr.; daughters, Lisa, Leeann and Laura; brothers, Leslie Butch McLearran and William Cecil McLearran; sisters, Anna Cleveland, Linda Sadler, Janet Cummings and Bonnie Westmoreland; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.


Donna C. Wilkerson

Donna C. Wilkerson, 71 of Whitleyville, passed away Dec. 18 at The Palace. Funeral services were held Dec. 21 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with David Earl Wilkerson and Kathleen Browning officiating. Interment followed in the Wilkerson Family Cemetery. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

She was born April 22, 1949 in Clay County. She had many hobbies, consisting of sewing, writing, reading and she enjoyed music. She had a passion for birds and was quick to tell you just what she had on her mind.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Earl R. and Anna (Franklin) Wilkerson.

Surviving relatives include: brother, David Earl and (Linda) Wilkerson; sister, Kathleen and (Jackie) Browning; nephews, Jason and (Angie) Browning and Todd and (Jessica) Browning; nieces, Kellie and (Michael) Carr and Savannah and (Colby) Boykin; great-nephews, Jared and (Chelsea) Browning, Owen, Wyatt, Weston, Austin, Dillon Browning and Will and Case Carr: great-nieces, Ashlynn and Hailey Browning, Jettie Mabry, Hadlee Boykin, Ava and Emmy Carr; great-great niece Remi on the way and a host of friends and neighbors.


Elma Hatcher Jenkins

Elma Hatcher Jenkins, 95, of the Union Hill Community, passed away Dec. 19 at Celina Health and Rehab. Private services were held Dec. 22 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina. Interment followed in the Mount Vernon Cemetery in the Milestown community.

She was born Oct. 3, 1925 in Celina. She was a Christian and attended the Church of God.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Rutherford and Mary Etter (Gulley) Hatcher; husband, Charlie Jenkins; and siblings, Willie, Bobbie Jeanie, Frank Hatcher, Dessie Jones, Bessie Davis, Isabelle Hatcher and Dovie Vandergriff.

Surviving relatives include: daughter, Barbara Jacobs; son, Tony Jenkins and wife, Brenda; granddaughters, Renee Keithley and husband, Chester and Cosima Jenkins; step children, Patricia Inman Wall, Penny Inman and Charles Bennett, Jr. and 10 great-grandchildren.
