Barbara A. Roach, 66, of Celina, passed away Oct. 2 at Saint Thomas Midtown. Funeral services were held Oct. 5 at the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Bro. Craig Ogletree officiating. Interment followed in the Ashlock Cemetery.
She was born March 13, 1954 in Celina. She was a member of the Ashlock Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Herman and Gladys (Watson) Watson.
Surviving relatives include: daughters, Amanda Roach, Michelle Adams; son, Tracy Roach; grandchildren, Hope Roach, Ashley Roach, Tony Bowman and Eli Watson; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and family.
Larry James Abbott
Larry James Abbott, 67, of Celina, passed away Oct. 3 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. Funeral services were held Oct. 7 from the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Bro. Jerry Buck officiating. Interment followed in the Miller Cemetery in Allons.
He was born April 3, 1953 in Livingston.
He was preceded in death by: parents, James and Reba (Breeding) Abbott; daughter, Shannon Pritchard; brothers, Michael and Billy Abbott; and grandchild, Aberial.
Surviving relatives include: daughters, Tammy Groce, Amy Short and Jamie Pritchard; stepdaughter, April South; sister, Earline Rush; brothers, Randall Abbott and Curt Abbott; grandchildren, Aleigh and Isabella Scott, Moses York, Cody and James Daniels, Jacob Groce, Devon Thomas and Siera Thomas; and a host of family and friends.
Lecil Darrell Pennington, 59, of Celina, passed away Oct. 4 at his residence. Graveside services were held Oct. 6 from the New Hope Cemetery in Moss with Jamey Wade and Mason Wade officiating. Pallbearers were Zachary Key, Mason Wade, Bobby Cosgrove, Payten Wade, Scotty McClain, Joseph Nolen, Eric Pigg, Tanner Wade and Bob Pennington.
He was born Feb. 7, 1961. He was a machine mechanic.
He was preceded in death by: father, Joe Pennington.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Aileen Pennington; mother, Retha Pennington; sisters, Phyllis Maynord and husband, Danny, Jonell Malone and husband, Gary, Nancy Carter and Tanya Pennington; brother, Bob Jr. Pennington and wife, Yvonne; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Hall Funeral Home of Celina was in charge of arrangements.
Alta Southard, 84, of Hilham, passed away Oct. 8 at the Celina Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Aug. 24, 1936. She was a homemaker, had a love for gardening and canning.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Carlos and Bessie (Lynn) Pennington.
Surviving relatives include: daughter, two sons, three sisters, brother, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and many friends and neighbors.
