Cumberland River ER Closes Doors

Cumberland River Hospital (CRH) CEO Johnny Presley announced to the Tennessee Department of Health that it will be closing its Emergency Room (ER) doors and halting inpatient services temporarily.

According to the letter, Presley cited “unprecedented circumstances of unexpected non-reimbursements for provided services as well as severe staffing shortages, secondary to the Coronavirus pandemic” as the reason for this closure, which began Aug. 7.
