Jerry Millard Gilpatrick
Jerry Millard Gilpatrick, 67, of Celina, passed away Feb. 25 at his residence. Funeral services were held Feb. 28 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Bobby Bartlett officiating. Interment followed in the Doc Hall Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Brandon Gilpatrick, Seth Gilpatrick, Travis Swann, Donald Collins, Nick Melton and Tim Tiernan. Honorary pallbearers were Kevin and Brody Gilpatrick.
He was born May 25, 1952 in Celina. He was a pattern maker for Wilson Sporting Goods, he enjoyed camping and old cars. He was a generous supporter to the Clay County Golf Club and the local Boy Scouts in hopes of their growth and being available to his grandsons. He attended the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by: parents, Leland and Deliah Mae (Swann) Gilpatrick.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Brenda; son, Brandon Ryan Gilpatrick of Celina; grandsons, Seth Conner, Kevin Leland and Brody Ryan Gilpatrick; brother, Jimmy Gilpatrick of Celina; sister in law, Shirley Gore of Livingston; and a host of neighbors and friends.
Elsie Rose Bailey Rich
Elsie Rose Bailey Rich was born on February 3, 1938…or like she would say 2nd 3rd 38…
Elsie Rose was the daughter of the late Hugh Barton and Mary Daffo Bailey. She was married to John Martin “Mock” Rich on July 16, 1955.
Along with John, Bart and Daffo she is preceded in death by sisters, Betty Joyce Bailey Walker and Wilma “Puss” Jean Bailey Boles and brothers, Jimmy Bailey and Hugh Bailey.
Elsie is survived by her following favorite children: Deborah Kay Rich Bean and her husband, John Bean of Southport, NC, Dianna Lynn Rich Kincaid and her husband, Craig of Lebanon, IN and well, her most favorite child Donna Jean Rich Watson…just saying! Elsie is survived by the following grandchildren: Stephanie Michelle Stoner Barker of Southport, NC, Christy Dawn Stoner Cooper and her husband, Jeff Cooper of Thornville, OH, Taylor John Kincaid of Lebanon, IN, Nathaniel Craig Kincaid of Lebanon, IN, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Rose Lynn Kincaid of Lebanon, IN and of course my Jaelyn Bailey Watson. Elsie is also survived by the following great grandchildren, Zachary Douglas Barker, Mackenzie Michelle Barker, both of Radford, VA, Macy Rose Barker of Southport, NC, Lyncoln James Cooper and Daxton John Cooper, both of Thornville, OH.
Elsie is survived by three brothers, Ronald Bailey, Kenneth “Doc” Bailey and Michael Bailey and his wife, Marilyn Bailey, all of Celina. And, lastly, she is survived by one sister, Edith Christine “Trixie” Bailey Savage of Moss, who in last several and many years was her side kick and companion.
Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
