The Clay County Bulldogs split the final two rounds of the Region 3/A tournament resulting in a second place finish in the region. They defeated the Pickett County Bobcats 61-45 in the region semifinal on Tuesday before falling 72-68 to the Monterey Wildcats in the regional championship on Thursday.
The Bulldogs arrived to Livingston Academy on Tuesday with a hunger to move on. Tuesday’s game was an elimination round, meaning that it would be the final game of the season for the losing team.
