Master Corbin Alexander Jones

Master Corbin Alexander Jones, 6 weeks, of Lafayette, passed away Jan. 22. Funeral services were held Jan. 27 at the Chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina. Interment followed in the Williams Cemetery in the Pea Ridge Community.

He was born Dec. 10, 2019 in Cookeville. He was so loved by his family and he will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

He was preceded in death by: Grannie Lisa Sandusky and sister, Annalise Evans.

Surviving relatives include: parents, Joseph Jones and Jessica Sandusky; brothers, Bryce Evans, Wyatt Evans and Braiden Jones; grandmother, Devina Jones; grandfather, Ronnie Rich; great grandfathers, David Sandusky and Randall Adams and great-grandmother, Norma Adams.

Eva Nell Allen

Eva Nell Allen, 71, of Celina, passed away Jan. 10 at the Celina Health and Rehab. Funeral services were held Jan. 12 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Bro. Kenny Westmoreland officiating. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jackson County.

She was born Jan. 4, 1949 in Gainesboro. She made her living by working in a bakery and was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Joe and Thena (Smtih) Smith; husband, Rick Allen; daughter, Jessica Allen McAteer and son, Charles Smith.

Surviving relatives include: sons, Jason Allen, Ryan D. Allen and Jack Allen; daughter, Nicole Allen Gardner, all of Indianapolis, Ind.; sister, Marie Gross of Celina; brothers, Fred “Pee Wee” Smith of Indianapolis, Ind. and Eugene Smith of Celina; eight grandchildren and special nephew, Robert (Chastity) Boles.

Gregory Maxwell Brooks

Gregory Maxwell Brooks, 69, of Hilham, passed away Jan. 14 at Erlanger Hospital. Funeral services were held Jan. 18 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Bro. Jerrmi Booth officiating. Interment followed in the McDonald Cemetery located on Baptist Ridge.

He was born March 7, 1950 in Kenova, W.Va. He served in the US Navy from 1974 until 1982 as a Missile Technician. He was a member of the Butler’s Landing Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Orval (Toad) Brooks and Mary Agnes Wight Brooks; brothers, Dwight Brooks and Dennis Brooks; and two nephews, Brian and Justin Brooks.

Surviving relatives include: wife, Sue Bane Brooks of Hilham; sons, Jonathan Brooks (Fiancée Jenny) of Columbia Maryland, David Brooks and wife, Erica of Silver Springs, Maryland; daughters, Stacia Brooks (Chris Kales) of VA, Sarah Nichols and husband, Jim of Frederick, Maryland; step daughters, Denys Harrison and Margaret Burkhart, both of Richmond, Ind.; niece, Lynn Price of Ind.; grandchildren, Raven Brooks, Erin Nichols and Sebastian Brooks; five step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.

Lonnie Scott

Lonnie Scott, 58, of Celina, passed away Jan. 18 at his residence. Funeral services were held Jan. 22 from the chapel of the Hall Funeral Home of Celina with Bro. Bobby Bartlett officiating. Interment followed in the Shorts Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Adam Scott, Allen Scott, Jeffrey Henemyre, Josh Scott, Michael Scott and Doyle Thompson.

He was born Sept. 8, 1961 in Burkesville, KY. He was an auto mechanic and loved his family very much.

He was preceded in death by: father, JC Scott; brother Robert Lee Scott; and a very special like-a-father, Wayman Carl Boone.

Surviving relatives include: mother, Anna Faye Scott; sons, Lonnie Dewayne Scott and wife, Tara, Michael Wayne Scott and Jeremy Scott; daughter, Melissa Rena Scott; grandsons, Allen Forrest Langford Scott and Adam Cordell Scott; and very special nieces, Charlotte Scott Thompson and Natasha Lee Henemyre (Scott).
