Celina Man Is Charged With Attempted Murder

An investigation by Special Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the 13th Judicial District Attorney General’s Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol has resulted in the arrest of a Celina man on attempted murder and assault charges.

On Dec. 30, at the request of 13th District Attorney General Bryant Dunaway, TBI Agents began investigating an incident that occurred in Celina. Shortly before 9 p.m. Monday, deputies with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident at a residence along Poor House Ridge Road, where a man had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
