Lenda Sue Cherry

Lenda Sue Cherry, 73, of Celina passed away Nov. 21 at her residence. There were no services as she had chosen cremation.

She was born Aug. 17, 1946 in Clay County. She worked in the healthcare field for Cumberland River Hospital where she found great pleasure in serving her community. She treasured her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was of Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Fred and Doris (McLerran) Cherry; daughter Lena Fay Cherry; sisters, Charlene Stanley, Jerlene York and Vida Kendall; and brothers, David, Larry and Dillard Cherry.

Surviving relatives include: sons, Roy Cherry and wife, Carol Sue of Moss and Troy Cherry of Pea Ridge; sisters, Carol short and husband, Rex, Emma Dean Heimbuch and husband, Mark, Lisa White and husband, Johnny, Shirlene Trobaugh and Sue Atchley; grandchildren, Casey (Jonathan) Scott, Curt Cherry, Cena (AJ) Jackson, Hannah (Nick Cox) Cherry, Dillon (Constance) Cherry and Nick Cherry; 13 great grandchildren; special friends, Kenneth Arms and Austin Spivey; as well as many other family and friends.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Rosie Iree Henson

Rosie Iree Henson, 89, of Moss passed away Nov. 20 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held Nov. 23 at Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Nathan Sherrell officiating. Interment followed in the Union Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Brad Copas, Kyle Ray, Drew Street, Kelly Henson, Edie Hix and Wesley Hix.

She was born April 24, 1930 in Union Hill. She was a homemaker and foster mother. She was a faithful member of the Union Hill Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Bethel Dodson and America Craton Murray Smith; husband, Emsie Henson; brother, Randall Smith and great grandchild, Joey Mullinex.

Surviving relatives include: sons, Steve Henson and wife, Gwinda of Lafayette and Kevin Henson and wife, Cynthia of Glasgow; daughters, Judy Hix and husband Ed of Indianapolis, Ill. and Melissa Copas and husband, Brad of Moss; brother, Donald Dodson of Hermitage Springs; grandchildren, Tracy, Sonya, Eddie, Wesley, Kelly, Asia, Tia, Zakkary, Lauren, Sydney and Parker; 14 great grandchildren; three great, great grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
