Joshua Moss, 35, of Moss passed away Sept. 14 at the St. Thomas Mid-Town in Nashville. Funeral services were held Sept. 18 from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Red Boiling Springs with Caleb Burnette and Keith McDonald officiating. Interment followed in the Whitley Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Navy. Pallbearers were: Sean Teeple, Zakk Stevens, Tyler Cole, Brian Vanwormer, Kraig McDonald, Joshua Perrigo and Daimeyn Moss.
He was born April 20, 1984 in Sumner County. He was the owner and operator of Moss Remodeling where he was a carpenter and was a member of the former New Life Baptist Church in Red Boiling Springs. He was an organ donor, and nine people and their families were given the hope of life.
He was preceded in death by: father, William “Bill” Henry Moss.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Emily Elizabeth Holtam; mother, Brenda Smith McDonald; daughter, Evy Moss; son, Daimeyn Moss both of Moss; step-father; Brenda and Keith McDonald; step-sister, Kortney Vanwormer and husband, Brian of Oregon, Ohio; step-brother, Kraig McDonald and companion, Caitlin of Toledo, Ohio; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Merrill and Betsy Holtam of Moss; brothers-in-law, Thomas Weaver and wife, Angie of Celina and Jon Weaver of Lebanon; and companion of the late Bill Moss, Benetta Jackson of Red Boiling Springs.
