Omer Collins, 84, of Rockwood and formerly of Celina, passed away Sept. 8 at the Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. A private service was held.
He was born Dec. 21, 1934 in Clay County. He was a hard-working man who spent his life’s career as a laboratory technician. He enjoyed life and especially cherished his family. He was a faithful member of the Rockwood Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by parents, Porter and Esteline (Spivey) Collins.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Margie Ann Collins; sons, Curtis Allen Collins of Rockwood, Gary Collins and wife, Rhonda of Harriman and Dale Collins of Rockwood; grandchildren, Robert Collins, Zachary Collins, Miranda Collins, Levi Collins and Maya Collins; sisters, Elise Lancaster and Buna Likens, both of the Union Hill Community, Velma Gass and husband, Shelva of Moss and Elaene Collins of Jackson; brothers, Comer Collins and wife, Linda of Gallatin, Domer Collins of Lebanon and Jerry Collins of the Union Hill Community; and other family, friends and neighbors.
