Bill Thomas, 87 of Livingston passed away Aug. 2 at the Overton County Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held Aug. 4 at the Livingston Funeral Home with Danny Staggs officiating. Interment followed in the Flat Creek Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Billy Mahaney, Cleston Daniels, Steve Jones, Carl Smith, Gary Smith and Cory King.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1939 in Overton County. He had many talents and spent his adult career working for Wilbert Vault Company retiring after 25 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a faithful member of the Flat Creek Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by parents, Wells and Wilkie (Gore) Thomas; and wife, Joyce Thomas.
Surviving relatives include: son, Doug Thomas and wife, Renee of Livingston; daughter, Penelope Brown and husband, Chuck of Cookeville; sister, Nell Sells of Livingston; grandchildren, Maggie Bullock, Trey Thomas, Ashleigh Auberson, Lincoln Brown and Kaitlyn Brown; great-grandchildren, Miles Bullock, Anthony Auberson, Riley Calder, Charlie Brown and Hunter Brown; and a host of other family and friends.

Norma Ruth Ledbetter
Norma Ruth Ledbetter, 87 of Celina passed away Aug. 6 at her home. Funeral services were held Aug. 8 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Eric Copass officiating. Interment followed in the Hamilton Addition of the Fitzgerald Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Charles Dailey, Austin Key, Donnie White, Adam White, Michael White and Shane Ledbetter.
She was born Jan. 22, 1932 in Livingston. She worked for the Clay County Government at the Sanitation Dept., she as worked in the manufacturing, ironing, cleaning and just about anything that she could find to keep herself busy and support her family’s needs. She was faithful member of the First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, Joe Bob and Ada (Raines) Ledbetter; son, Larry Ledbetter; and sisters, Mageline White, Evelyn Conner and Olene Ballenger.
Surviving relatives include: daughter, Sandra Hargis; sons, B.J. Ledbetter and Johnny Ledbetter; grandchildren, Shane Ledbetter and Nicole Davis and husband, Gerald; great-grandchildren, Valerie Key, Austin Key and Caleb Key; sister, Dean Dailey and husband, Charlie; and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
