A gathering took place on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at the Cumberland River Hospital (CRH) to announce to the community that the hospital has been purchased and will be re-opening its doors in the future.
Cookeville City Council unanimously voted on Aug. 1 to approve a resolution sent to them by the CRH board of trustees. The resolution will shift ownership of CRH and all of its property from Cookeville Regional Medical Center (CRMC) to the CRH board of trustees. It also authorizes CRMC CEO Paul Korth and Cookeville City Manager James Mills to complete the sale of the hospital to its buyer, Rural Hospital & Clinics of America, LLC.
