Cedric Landon Brady
Cedric Landon Brady, 67, of Whitleyville passed away July 25 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. There was no formal visitation at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 13, 1952 in Clay County. He was an over the road truck driver for Dillon Trucking Company, he cherished the time he had with his family and friends and he attended the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by parents, Farley and Emma (Morris) Brady; and son, Christopher Brady.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Oma Crawford Brady of Whitleyville; daughter, Melissa Brady Norris of Moss; brother, Kenneth Brady of Bethpage; sister, Shirley Brown and husband, Roy of Moss; grandchild, Zane Brady Norris; and a host of other family and friends.
Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Tony Netherton, 69, of Celina passed away July 29 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held July 31 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with David Threet officiating. Interment followed in the Moore Cemetery. Members of Canton Lodge 481: Travis Cherry, James Strode, Logan Strode, Wayne Rich, Joey Rich and Stoney Fraley served as active pallbearers.
He was born Nov. 1, 1949 in Glasgow, KY. He spent his adult career working as an EMT for the Clay County Rescue Squad, at Osh Kosh B’Gosh manufacturing and he spent most of his time as a truck driver for Anderson trucking out of Minnesota. He was an active member of Canton Lodge 481 for what would have been 47 years in November. He attended the Church of Christ until his health prevented him from attending and found comfort watching the Shepherd’s Channel.
He was preceded in death by parents, Harvey Arnold and Margaret Helen (Plumlee) Netherton.
Surviving relatives include: wife, Margaret Netherton of Celina; son, Kenny Meadows and wife Judy of Celina; three granddaughters; two step daughters; and a host of other family and friends.
