Eddie Scott, 54, of Celina passed away May 31 at Livingston Regional Hospital. Funeral services were held June 2 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Kenneth Beaty officiating. Interment followed in the Fitzgerald Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Greg Davis, William Collins, Tim Bertram, Jon Scott, Dutch Johnson and Johnny Rich. Honorary pallbearers were: Kelly Scott, Kevin Westmoreland, Randy Davis, Michael Keisling, Thomas Kerr and Ronnie Farley.
He was born Sept. 30, 1964 in Tompkinsville, KY. He was a self-employed truck driver, soft-spoken, always put others needs first and attended the Church of God.
He was preceded in death by father, Burnice Scott; and both paternal and maternal grandparents.
Surviving relatives include: mother, Liz Scott of Celina; brothers, Andy Scott of Celina, Jimmy Scott and significant other, Rayma Arms of Celina and Bobby Scott and wife, Susan of Algood; sister, Michelle Watson and husband, Jerry of Franklin; nephews, Trevor Watson and wife, Amber and Tucker Scott; great niece, Lizzie Jane Watson; special friend, Pam Spivey; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
Stephen Joshua Garland
Stephen Joshua Garland, 29, of Celina passed away May 21 in Lebanon. Funeral services were held May 25 from the chapel of Hall Funeral Home of Livingston with Bro. Wayne Malone officiating. Interment followed in the Campground Cemetery in Hilham. Pallbearers were: Jacob Garland, Jordan Stout, Cody Randall, Richard Pryor, Henry Whigham and Matt Stout.
He was born Dec. 30, 1989 in Nashville. He was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be forever missed.
Surviving relatives include: parents, Stephen Alvin Garland and Jennifer (McClure) Garland; daughters, Applebella Garland and Olive Jade Garland; brothers, Jacob Garland and Jordan Stout; grandmother, Linda Pryor; mother of his children, Marki Bettencourt; aunt, Emily Allen; and Richard Pryor II.
Shirley Ann Ridge
Shirley Ann Ridge, 80, of Red Boiling Springs passed away June 3 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. Funeral services were held June 6 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Jerry Ridge officiating. Interment followed in the McDonald Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Adam Patterson, Aaron Patterson, Mark Derringer, Brandon Shaw, Keenan Muncie and Brandon Spivey.
She was born Aug. 24, 1938, in Clay County. She will be remembered for her love and kindness. She worked in healtcare and retired from Johnson Memorial Hospital in 1997. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by parents, Vadius Benton, Sr. and RubyMarie (Cunningham) Hawkins; brothers, Earl Landon Hawkins and Paul Cebil Hawkins; and sister, BettyLou Hawkins.
Surviving relatives include: husband, Turner Lee Ridge of Red Boiling Springs; son, Christopher Ridge and wife, Kathie of Berea, KY.; daughter, Jennifer Reed and husband, Jeffrey of Morgantown, IN; grandchildren, Abigail Derringer and husband, Mark, Mallory Muncie and husband, Keenan, Sara and husband, Brandon, Adam Patterson and wife, Candice, Aaron Patterson and wife Brittany; step grandson, Michael Reed and wife, Brandy and Brian Reed and wife, Traci: 18 great grandchildren; brother, Vadius Hawkins, best know as Junior and wife, Marcella of Cookeville; sisters, Sue Davis and husband, James and Carolyn Spivey all of Hilham; and many other family, friends and neighbors.
