Celina Walks Plan Holds First Public Meeting

Sidewalk improvements are coming to Celina, and more may even be on the way.

The first public meeting for the Celina Walks Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan was held last Thursday at the Clay County Community Center. Celina recently received a $50,000 grant by the Tennessee Department of Health’s Access to Health Through Healthy Built Environments Program to help improve sidewalks and connections in the community. The engineering firm Neel-Schaffer has been selected to head the project, and senior planner, Jeff Moore, led the meeting.
