Tracy Abbagail Smith

Tracy Abbagail Smith, 20 of Moss, passed away on Feb. 27 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services were held on March 4 at the Acres of Grace Farms with Kenny Westmoreland, Jason Dodson and Keith Parker officiating. Interment followed in the Macedonia Cemetery. Brandon Collins, Kyle Smith, Austin Smith, Jon Wayne Browning, Trace Browning, Bart Smith and Brent Smith served as active pallbearers.

She was born in Nashville on June 6, 1998. She was a 2016 graduate of Clay County High School. After high school, she was an employee at Home Health Care in Lafayette. Never meeting a stranger, Tracy was an energetic young lady who touched many people with her loving and adorable personality. She had a special character that made everyone who knew her, love her. She was a member of the Beech Bethany Church of Christ and a lover of her Lord and savior.

She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, William “Shorty” Denton.

Surviving relatives include parents, Troy “White Mouse” and Melissa (Denton) Smith of Moss; brother, Mason Smith of Moss; maternal grandmother, Margaret Denton of Celina; paternal grandparents, R.J. “Jack” and Laura Belle Smith of the Union Hill Community of Clay County; uncles, Brian Smith of Marietta, G.A. and William Denton of San Francisco, Calif.; aunt, Amanda Lacy and husband, Ryan of Celina; great uncles and great aunts, Donald Collins and wife Carol Sue, Brenda Browning and husband, Doug, Neal Smith and wife, Debbie, and Sherry George and husband, Jeff, Tim Denton and James Denton and wife, Johnnie; great-grandmother, Nellie Denton; special cousins, Kaylee, Martina, Kyndel, and Myles and Dustin and Brandon Collins; and in addition to these survivors there are more Smith cousins and family, that Tracy loved, than can be mentioned in fear of leaving someone out as well as a multitude of friends.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
