EMS Director Speaks About Hospital Closure

A CNN analysis found that 16 percent of the mainland United States are 30 or more miles away from the nearest hospital. While Celina is 17 miles from the closest one and doesn’t quite fall into this category, 17 miles is still a very long way to go in a life threatening situation.

Clay County EMS Director Natalie Boone has serious concerns about the hospital closing and spoke to the Citzen-Statesman about her concerns with the announcement of the hospital closure and the adverse effects on the ambulance services.
