Fowler Amos McLerran
Fowler Amos McLerran, 86 of Celina, passed away on Jan. 15 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. Funeral Services were held on Jan. 18 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Dale Reagan officiating. Interment followed in the Macedonia Cemetery. Tony Daniels, Dewayne McLerran, Dennis McLerran, Denny J., Brad Mini and Alex McLerran served as active pallbearers.
He was born on Oct. 2, 1932 in Clay County. He is remembered as a man of many talents but spent his adult career as a self-employed farmer and also spent time as a logger. He loved spending time with friends and family and treasured his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents, Fowler and Virgie (Meadows) McLerran; six brothers and two sisters.
Surviving relatives include sons, Dennis McLerran of Moss and Dewayne McLerran and wife, Andrea of Celina; daughter, Sandra Wood and companion, Tony Daniels of Celina; sisters, Artie Ashlock of Celina and Imogene Crabtree of Clarksville; grandchildren, Farrah Wood, Denny McLerran and wife, Stephanie, Tara Mini and husband, Brad, Chelsey McLerran, Alex McLerran and Brandi McLerran; great-grandchildren, Madison, Zack, Piper, Paisley and Colton; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and other family and friends.
