Water insurance through Servline was discussed at the November City of Celina meeting. In the past, the City of Celina has covered a one time 25 percent annual adjustment on water bills. Through this new program, a one time 100 percent annual adjustment of up to $500 would be covered. A presentation was made to the aldermen and they were allowed to decide what course of action to take.
Servline representative Mark Slater was on hand at the November meeting to discuss the insurance protection with the aldermen and audience. “Over the course of the last three years on water leaks that are identified on your system, the amount that the customer (has) paid is $136,972.50,” Slater said.
