Couple Sets Marriage Right

Fifty-four years after a technical discrepancy, Wendell Collins proposed to his wife on Aug. 28

Wendell, born in Pine Hill, and Carolyn, born in Union Hill, were married 54 years ago, when Carolyn was 16 years old. The couple couldn’t be officially married with Carolyn being 16, so the paperwork listed a different age for her when they were married over 50 years ago.
