Louise P. Hayes
Louise P. Hayes, 93 of Celina, passed away on July 29 at Mabry Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services were held on Aug. 1 at the Beech Bethany Church of Christ with Kenny Westmoreland officiating. Interment followed in the Plumlee Cemetery. John Chism, Jason Chism, Jo-El Hayes, Jason Thompson, Gary Plumlee and James Plumlee served as active pallbearers.
She was born on April 11, 1925 in Clay County. She was a very spunky spirited lady who was known for her love of God and family. She was retired from the Clay County Library where she spent most of her adult career and was a member of the Beech Bethany Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, E.N. and Georgia (Stone) Plumlee; son, Mark Hayes; daughter, Peggy Hayes; and brother, Carl Plumlee.
Surviving relatives include her husband, John Mark Hayes of Celina; daughter, Emily Chism and husband, James of Louisville, Ky.; brothers, her twin, Louis Plumlee and wife, Eva Nell and Jack Plumlee all of Celina; sister, Margaret Cagle of Knoxville; grandchildren, John Chism and wife, Heidi, Jason Chism and wife, Christy, Jo-El Hayes and wife, Shannon and Rita Thompson and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Hayes, Jacob and Levi Chism, Waylon Hayes and Elizabeth Chism; and a host of other family and friends.
Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of services.
Edna Rich, 84 of Cookeville, passed away on July 31 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services were held on Aug. 3 at Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Grant Pennington officiating. Interment followed in the McDonald Cemetery. Nathanael Rich, Matthew Rich, Fred Short, Steve Rich, Rush Rich and Wayne Rich served as active pallbearers.
She was born on May 27, 1934 in Jackson County. She was a very kind lady who was known for her love of family. She spent most of her adult career as a beautician and later worked in a factory. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sera (Mace) Cox; adoring husband, Chester Rich; sisters, Pearly Atchley, Christine Westmoreland and Imogene Daniels; and brothers, Joe, Shirley Bobby and Eugene Cox.
Surviving relatives include her son, Billy Rich and wife, Angela of Rickman; daughters, Karen Short and husband, Fred of Moss and Shirley Rich of Hermitage; grandchildren, Nathanael Rich and wife, Kayla, Matthew Rich and wife Savannah, Amanda Short, Heather Rhoton and husband, Steve, Steve Rich and wife, Brittany and Amy Bentley; great-grandchildren, Addison, Madelyn and Josiah Rich, Lily Kerr, Andrew and Sarah Anderson, Olivia Rhoton, Ashton Rich, Grayson Watson, Abbigail and Ally Bentley and Letty Weigleb; sisters and brothers, Dolly Rich, John Adams, Cleo Cox, Vecheal Pennington, Avo Hall and Dimple Lee; and a host of other family and friends.
