Thomas Junior Hayes
Thomas Junior Hayes, 75 of Celina, passed away on Dec. 27, at the Overton County Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services were held on Dec. 29 at the Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Willie Kerr officiating. Interment followed at the Fitzgerald Cemetery. J.B. Killman, Huel Boles, Bart Cash, Joe Donald Bailey, Henry Behr and David Westmorland served as active pallbearers.
He was born Jan. 17, 1942 in Celina. He served in US Army and then worked at Osh Kosh for most of his adult life.
He was preceded in death by parents, JP and Clara Jewell (Gentry) Hayes and sister, Barbara Strong.
Surviving relatives include daughters, Angela (Collins) Cash and husband Bart of Spring Hill, Missy Trobaugh of Celina; sisters, Marian McKay and husband Herb of Celina; and Ina Capps of Powell, Tenn.; grandchildren, Jacob Cash, Noah Cash, Kenley Trobaugh and Kale Trobaugh; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other family and friends.
Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Harvey Louie Kendall 90 of Celina, passed away on Dec. 29 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville, Ky. Funeral services were held Sun. Dec. 31 at Upton-Hay Funeral Home with Dennis Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Moss Cemetery. Billy Kendall, Dudley McLerran, Kenneth McLerran, Junior McLerran, Randall Kendall, Rondell Kendall and Junior Key served as active pallbearers.
He was born July 21, 1927 in Clay County. He worked in a garment factory for most of his adult life. Louie was a member of the Moss Church of Christ where he was a loyal servant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Florence (McLerran) Kendall; his first wife, Emma McLerran Kendall; his second wife, McRuth Bean Bray Kendall; brothers, Alf, Edd and Abert Kendal and sisters, Elsie Ogden, Elma Key, Annie McLerran, Lura Likens and Nannie Anderson.
He is survived by son, Freddy Kendall and wife Lydia of Moss; daughter, Wanda Strong and husband Sam of Smyrna; step-sons, Jackie Bray and wife Susan of Moss and Rickie Bray and wife Regina of Houghton, La.; step-daughters, Glynda Steward and husband Chuck of Manchester and Lana Arnold and husband Mike of Manchester; grandchildren, Cindy Strong Dodson, Macey Kendall and Alyssa Kendall; great-grandchildren, Candace Dodson and Corinne Dodson; great-great grandchild, Eliza Evans; brother Amon Kendall and wife Dean, as well as a host of other family and friends.
