Road Collapses Due To Heavy Rain

A road on Highway 52 near the Moss Fire Department was shut down to one lane traffic on Dec. 23 due to flood damage caused by all the rainfall on the previous two nights. TDOT workers, Clay County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies and THP state troopers were on the scene throughout the day to deal with the caved in road and to ensure that traffic continued to run smoothly. On Dec. 23, the CCSO stated that “TDOT was working on putting up a red light up until they were able to get the road fixed.”
