Kathy Sue Westmoreland Jennings

Kathy Sue Westmoreland Jennings, 61 of Knoxville and formerly of Celina, passed away on May 2 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services were held at Upton- Hay Funeral Home with Doug Mosley and Will Perdue officiating. Interment followed in the Fitzgerald Cemetery. Dustin Williams, Alek Williams, Chase Cutlip, Allen Westmoreland, Williams Spears and Matthew Spears served as pallbearers.

She was born May 23, 1955 in Celina. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary O. (Williams) Westmoreland; brothers, James Allen, Bob and Jerry Westmoreland; and sisters, Jackie Poindexter, Mary Lee Perdue, Pamela Westmoreland and Ella Westmoreland.

Surviving relatives include her daughters, Bridget Cutlip and husband, Chris of Knoxville and Leslie Mosley of Boston, Mass.; grandchildren, Dustin Williams and wife, Olivia, Alek Williams, Meagan Williams, Alexander Cutlip, Isaac Cutlip, Cassidy Cutlip and Chase Cutlip; great-grandchildren, Asher, Lilly, Elliot and Alastair; brothers, Roger Westmoreland of Celina and Randall Fred Westmoreland of Highland Springs, Va.; sisters, Darlene Spears of Celina and Carolyn Alamond and husband, Robert of Shreveport, La.; and a host of other family and friends.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Mark Newton Hayes

Farmer

Mark Newton Hayes, 60 of Celina, passed away on April 4. Funeral Services were held April 8 at Upton- Hay Funeral Home with Craig Ogletree officiating. Interment followed in the Fitzgerald Cemetery. Friends and family served as pallbearers.

He was born January 25, 1957 in Livingston. He was a farmer for most of his adult career.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Hayes.

Surviving relatives include his parents, John Mark and Louise (Plumlee) Hayes of Celina; son, Jo-El Hayes of Gallatin; daughter, Rita Thompson and husband, Jason of Lebanon; grandson, Waylon Mark Hayes; sister, Emily Chism and husband, James of Shepardsville, Ky.; nephews, John Chism of Lebanon and Jason Chism of Brandonburg, Ky.; several great-nephews; 1 great-niece; and a host of friends.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

The Alvin Brown Family would like to thank everyone for the kindness and love shown during Alvin’s illness. We would like to thank those who visited our home and all those who called. Thanks to the Upton-Hay Funeral Home for the wonderful care you gave Alvin. We would like to thank Kenny Westmoreland for the kind words that were so comforting during out loss. Thank you for the beautiful flowers that were sent and for the wonderful meal that was prepared for us after the service. We thank God for the loving friends that we have and the kindness you have shown us during this great loss in our lives.
