Virgel P. Daniels

Business Owner

Virgel P. Daniels, 71, passed away on April 28 at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services were held May 3 at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home in Greencastle Ind.

He was born August 26, 1945 in Celina. He was the owner and operator of Virgel’s Garage for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carvel and Irene (Grogan) Daniels; brothers, Joe and Robert
Daniels; sister, Dollie Desanti; and first cousin, James Daniels.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 50 years, Carolyn M Daniels; sons, Virgel Rodriguez (Dan Rodriguez) and Gary Wayne Daniels; sister, Anne Swan (Joe); grandsons, Jesse Alan Daniels and James Paul Daniels; and several nieces and nephews.

Michael J. Morgan

Mill Worker

Michael J. Morgan, 60 of the Union Hill Community, passed away at his residence on April 20. The family has chosen cremation with services to be scheduled at a later date.

He was born in Mossy Rock, Wash. on September 16, 1956. He was a mill worker and affiliated with the Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Morgan and Mildred (Pier) Morgan; brother, Louise Morgan II; and daughter, Brandi Lynn Morgan.

Surviving relatives include his sons, Michael Joseph Cobb, Patrick Richardson
and Timothy Morgan; daughters, Linda Childs and Tina Morgan Schmidt; sister, Mary Mark of West Port, Wash.; grandchildren: Brandi Jarvis, Magin Morgan, Isaac Chandler, Alexandria Cobb, and Silas Richarson; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Hall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

Lecil M. Brown

Truck Driver

Lecil M. Brown, 83 of Celina, passed away at the Livingston Regional Hospital on April 12. The family has chosen cremation.

He was born in Celina, TN on July 5, 1933. He worked as a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Iva (Rich) Brown.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Sandra Brown; sons, A. Giles Brown of Atlanta, Ga. and Eric McHenry Brown of Chicago, Ill.; sister, Shirley (Lee) Reeves of Red Boiling Springs; brothers and
sisters-in-law, Martin (Karen) Guibord, Gerald (Connie) Guibord, Valerie (Robin) Guibord; and special family members: Kimberly, Karly, and Trevor Schuldt.

Hall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

 

June Dennis Smith

Homemaker

June Dennis Smith, 78 of Celina, passed away on May 1 at the Cumberland River Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Services were held May 4 at Upton- Hay Funeral Home with Charles Smith officiating. Interment followed in the Welch Cemetery in Jackson County. Dustin Wix, Dustin Rich, Matthew Rich, Addison Rich, Cole Key and Stevie Key served as pallbearers.

She was born Monday, January 16, 1939 in Jackson County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cordell and Mildred (Hensley) Dennis; and brothers, Bobby, Bill and Jack Dennis.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Gene Smith of Celina; son, Danny Smith of Celina; daughters, Lisa Rich and husband, Chris of Celina and Gina Key and husband, Stevie of Celina; grandchildren, Jason Smith, Brooke Wix and husband, Dustin, Dustin Rich and wife, Whitney, Matthew Rich, Addison Rich, Megan Volk and husband, Robert, Cole Key and Madison Key; 6 great-grandchildren; special family member, Lucinda Smith; and a host of family and friends.

Upton-Hay Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
